At the Kindred Art and Folk Institute our mission is to support, enrich and empower individuals and families in our community by providing creative, meaningful and sustainable art education and opportunities. Kindred teaches through unique programming including fine and lost art forms, natural history, and contemporary strategies for sustainable living. We currently serve all youth ages 5-18 with an emphasis on at risk youth and those in need of financial support via our scholarship program. No family is turned away due to financial limitations. Your generous support will help provide education and awareness for youth in need of a safe haven and creative empowerment. When individuals are given the opportunity to express themselves in a safe environment where all thoughts are embraced, conceptual problem-solving can be realized and individuals can gain a new perspective on themselves and the community.

Currently 28% of Kindred’s students are on scholarships that we have no traditional funding for, so we as an organization must come up with creative ways to raise these funds. Besides the scholarships Kindred keeps all classes at an obtainable price point so sessions are truly available to the WHOLE community.
